Water Treatment & Filtration in Montgomery & Chester County, PA

Delivering Desired Comfort…

Hard water in this part of Pennsylvania is the rule, not the exception — and it quietly shortens the life of every appliance it touches. ZyNex® starts with a free on-site water test, then recommends the smallest system that actually solves what your water is doing. No test, no recommendation.

Know the signs

Signs your water needs treatment

Most of these are hardness or iron. All of them are fixable once you know what the water actually contains.

  • White scale on faucets, kettles and shower doors
  • Soap and detergent that won't lather
  • Orange or brown staining in sinks and tubs
  • Rotten-egg smell from the hot water
  • Dry skin and dull, stiff laundry
  • Spotting on glassware out of the dishwasher
  • Water heaters or appliances failing early
  • Metallic, salty or chlorinated taste

The result

What proper treatment changes

We re-test after installation and set the system to your actual water, not a factory default.

  • Scale stops building

Softened water stops depositing on heating elements, fixtures and the inside of your pipes.

  • Appliances last longer

Water heaters, dishwashers and washing machines all fail early on untreated hard water.

  • Less soap, better results

Most households cut detergent use noticeably once hardness is dealt with.

  • Staining gone

Iron and manganese removed at the point of entry rather than scrubbed off the fixtures.

  • Drinking water you'll actually use

RO at the kitchen sink is usually cheaper over a year than bottled water.

  • Right-sized, not over-sold

A test-first approach means you buy the system your water needs and nothing more.

A clogged drain that backed up that we couldn't solve ourselves required a professional! So glad I contacted ZyNex®. A quoted time slot was provided, and no wait — they were at my home within 30 minutes! Ethan and Jose were friendly, efficient and professional. Definitely recommend!

Mike, Ethan, Jose and Bradley were a fantastic group to work with. They made getting rid of a leaking water heater a breeze even with little room to work in, and installed a brand new tankless system — all in a single day.

Frequently Asked Questions

You have questions, we have answers

Is the water test really free?

Yes. We test hardness, iron and pH on site at no charge and show you the readings. Lab testing for bacteria or nitrates carries a cost, which we quote before sending anything off.

Do I need a softener if I'm on municipal water?

Often yes. Much of Montgomery and Chester County sits on limestone, so municipal supply here still runs hard. The test tells you the number rather than the assumption.

What's the difference between softening and filtration?

Softening removes calcium and magnesium — the minerals that cause scale. Filtration removes sediment, chlorine, iron, sulphur and taste issues. Many homes need both, and plenty need only one.

How much salt will a softener use?

It depends on hardness and water use, but a correctly sized and metered system for a typical family uses roughly one 40lb bag a month. An oversized or timer-based system uses considerably more.

Do reverse osmosis systems waste water?

Older ones did. Modern permeate-pump and zero-waste designs are far more efficient, and we'll tell you the ratio for the specific unit before you buy.

How often does treatment equipment need servicing?

Annually for most systems — filter changes, resin check and settings verification. RO membranes typically last 2–3 years, pre-filters every 6–12 months.

Will you recommend the biggest system?

No. Our technicians aren't paid on commission, so there's no incentive to oversize. We size to your test results and household demand.
